Having "My" Say

I guess what I really strongly believe in is that teachers saying that going to community college first hand is wrong and wasting your talent, when in the long run it is the best you can do. For instances when someone does not know what to do when they get older they just waste their money and or their parents money on a college that they do not even like. I feel like that is just full of crap how people talk about community colleges. At least they are trying to make better themselves by going to college and not just doing nothing. Many great people did not come from high spending colleges. I think that teachers should be very happy that their student are moving on to next level and encourage them even more to keep going instead of bringing them down because they go to a community college.

There Was a Child Wne Forth

This poem by Walt Whitman connects with me by just being that boy. When you pass by somethig you are that object you are that person. Being part of the drama department at school and feel like I somewhat understand part of his poem. Although acting is only a small piece of this poem. How everything is this boy and how this boy is everything as well, for me at lest I think of God naturally but then I think of the wind. I do not know why for sure. But I thought that beacause the wind and air sees everything it carries that voices of the world to other parts and connects us all together.

This poem just makes me smile when I first read it, because it feels like she is somewhat tricking you ina way. But I do not know why I feel like that, but anyway to me the poem is telling us that a flower or a person that is so beautiful, one would love to show it off. But to really love it you would not just let it sit out for people to watch away the beauty o it. They only let you borrow it for just some time.

Transendental

Although I enjoy reading both styles of poems. I perfer to read trascendental, beacuse I understadn it better and it fits into my lifestyle more than the antitranscedentalist poems. My favorite writer that we have read was Emerson, Iloved his "Nature" poem. It really touched me, and truely mean that. this photo is one of my favorite sayings that he wrote...
